My internist referred me to Dr. Krisiloff after numerous bouts of UTI. Expecting another round of time consuming and expensive tests I was amazed when he interviewed me regarding my symptoms and then gave me his list of possible inflamatory foods. It was so simple, no caffeine, spicy food or alcohol. I promised to follow his directions and avoid those items for 30 days and return for a follow up appointment. I had no problem giving up coffee, since I drank de-caf anyway. Alcohol and spicy foods were not a part of my diet anyway, but the news that chocolate contains caffeine was heart breaking. I did my best for about three weeks and felt better, then tried a little hot cocoa with a lot of milk and water. I had no immediate reaction so I tried it again for about four days. Then I began to feel the uncomfortable symptoms returning. I stopped immediately and the symptoms started to go away. I had to confess my transgression at my next appointment but Dr. Krisiloff took it with good humor and said I could avoid expensive and sometimes painful procedures if I would continue avoiding those substances. Sometimes there is only one way to learn a lesson. As someone who reads a lot about health I know there are bigger, more comprehensive and pricer versions of this idea that what we eat can cause inflammation. Often there is so much inforamation it can be confusing and intimidating. If you want a simple answer to why you are having UT problems buy this book. I bought the Kindle edition and that would be my only complaint. It is not formatted for smooth reading. I hope that will soon change.

It is hard to find a book or a media channel that is not tendencious with usually a monetary interest behind it. Dr. Krisiloff guides us through a easy to understand journey explaining how our body works and how our diet plays such a big part on it.
Very informative and encouraging.
Very specific guide that was recommended by my physician as a way to deal with heart burn and its issues. A must-read to put out the fires.

The book basically says "avoid spicy foods, alcohol, and caffeine". There are overviews of various conditions that the diet is said to treat. It is a very short book. But probably worth $3 which is what I paid for it.

That said, I ended up returning the book because the kindle edition has horrible formatting issues.
The information in this book is very important. Give this method a try before having painful, invasive procedures. I has helped me and several people I know personally. I wish I had known about this alternative before letting my urologist perform procedures that only lasted a few months or a year.
After seeing 3 other doctors about my bladder issues, Dr Krisiloff was the only one who had a cure for me that worked. The other 3 doctors put me on antibiotics and one suggested I might have cancer. After 3 weeks on his diet, I was 50% better and continue to heal and have more energy each day. His allergy diet works! Judith Fine-Sarchielli.
It`s obvious that the book needs a great deal of editing. That may turn-off some readers. But get past it because the message of the book is extremely important. I have prostatitis and use the Krisiloff diet(no alcohol,no spices,no caffeine). It works for me and I am symptom free when I adhere to the diet. When I go off the diet the symptoms return. I won`t list the symptoms here but there they are when I have a couple of beers or use the salsa with my chips. Back on the diet they disappear. Many people are unnecessarily suffering from urological problems because the medical community will not accept this simple therapy by trying it first before going on to more expensive and more elaborate procedures.This book clearly explains the medical problem,the symptoms and how to cure the problem. If you are a sufferer this book is worth an infinite number of stars.
