3 1/2 stars rating. I liked this book despite the fact that the heroine was very difficult to like initially. Ivory the heroine is not likeable person throughout most of the book. However she was a product of her time and was frozen as a statue for many centuries. That kind of trauma and being a creature of unspeakable power can no doubt be taxing to a soul. Lincoln the hero is, well, a hero. Kind, honorable, strong and he loves Ivory. I loved reading as he helped her grow as an individual. I do love me some Gargoyle's. I'm looking forward to the next novel and more of this world.Product details

This is a very well done story that tells of a not very traditional love. Ivory is not likeable person through most of the book and even then she isn't truly a likeable person but a tolerable person. The fact remains she is who she needs to be and that might entail some people not liking her but you can't please everyone. Lincoln on the other hand seems like a pushover and just takes everything she slings at him with normal Gargoyle stoic grace. They are both on a journey of self discovery in the book and by the end of it they are both radically changed mentally and some physically. The rest of the returning cast have mostly remained the same, Tallis is still well... Tallis and there is appearances from just about every of the other notable people from the rest of the books in the Supernaturals Now world. (yes go read them they are good too!)
As for the book structure and grammar it is very well done and very little to no mistakes, my only complaint would be chapter length but that is a personal preference and not a check mark against the author.
